Most pirated movie in 2010

Avatar, the best movie in 2009 has been placed in the top of most pirated movie in 2010. TorrenFreak claims Avatar was downloaded about 16 million times during 2010. Last year, the top movie at the same list only downloaded 11 million times.

Within the list, there are top earning movie in 2010: Inception, Iron Man 2 and Clash of the Titans. Eriq Gardner of The Hollywood Reporters put some interesting notes about the list. About The Hurt Locker in that sit at the 9th position of the most pirated movie, Eriq says that The Hurt Locker producers are currently in the middle of a lawsuit against thousands of those pirates. Unfortunatelly The Hurt Locker was the lowest-grossing film on the list, with just under $50 million at the worldwide box office.

In contrary, 20th Century Fox, which distributed the Avatar, “isn’t exactly crying, “Says Eriq.  The film grossed nearly $2.8 billion at the worldwide box office to become the highest-grossing movie ever. Eriq quoted that Director James Cameron has frequently touted 3D filmmaking as the industry’s best hope for combating piracy, but 3D glasses didn’t hold back pirates from shattering all recorded piracy record.

Business ideas 2011 in movie industry

New movies will release every month in 2011. It means a lot of opportunities open for everyone. Some people are waiting to enjoy, and some of us are working to gain the new business ideas for 2011.

Last year, some movies have made the largest earning more than expected by its producers. Last year, in the movie industry, cartoon movies were the best to attract people. Perhaps because of the wider range of audiences, from teenager to adults– so many people like to watch togethers with their familiy members.

Will the cartoon movie stands its attractiveness in 2011?

The most earning movies in 2010

Bad review doesn’t stop people to watch the movie. It was happened in 2010 where some movies have been reviewed as ‘not recommended’, but people keep watching, put the movie in the list of top earning movies.

The top earning movie list was made by Forbes based on the data from Box Office Mojo. It counts the global revenue, not limited to US only. Forbes calls 2010 as the cartoon year as the top earning movie list is dominated by cartoon.
