Here the top most well-read cities in US 2012. The list is created by Amazon to rank the cities with the highest sales on book, newspaper and magazine. Amazon also took into account the sales from its mobile device, Kindle.

By analyzing the sales data, Amazon also found that each city has unique characteristics (or can we called it as preference?). In Cambride, the books under business and investment category was the most sold. Compare to Berkeley where the residents prefer to purchased Travel books.

Reading the latest news about grant for Innovative Libraries in developing countries, I’m excited there’s organization care about this kind of issues. Most of us see that government in developing countries are lack of fund to improve its science and technology application. They’re spend more of their budget for economic growth. Perhaps only a few of people there see about the investment through science fund.

Okay, so The Elsevier Foundation has announced new grant proposals for the 2012 New Scholars and Innovative Libraries in Developing Countries programs. The deadline for proposals is June 24th 2012. Grants will be awarded in December 2012 and provide one, two and three year awards between US$5,000 to US$50,000 per year for a total of $100,000.

The latest report revealing the list of countries with the happiness measure. Happiness isn’t just about wealth, higher income, good health, but related to corruption as well.  Let see the complete of Top 10 happiest countries in the world 2012 .

According to The Earth Institute Columbia University, there are some factors creating happiness: political freedom, strong social networks and an absence of corruption are together more important than income in explaining well-being differences between the top and bottom countries. “At the individual level, good mental and physical health, someone to count on, job security and stable families are crucial,” said the report.
