“Future Shock” in crowd society

Although it introduced about four decades ago, the term of “future shock” has meets its relevancy in various places and events. Briefly, Toffler’s defines future shock as a personal perception of  “too much change in too short a period of time“.

Toffler says that society is undergoing an enormous structural change, a fast change from an industrial society to a “super-industrial society“.

Because of this change, people will overwhelmed;  the accelerated rate of technological and social change leaving people disconnected and suffering from “shattering stress and disorientation”.
