Mesothelioma caused by environmental exposures?

Mesothelioma has attracted researchers and environmental activists. Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that has been linked by environmental exposures especially asbestos.  Study says, people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos materials. People who have been contacted to dust and fiber related to asbestos also linked to mesothelioma.

Then I try to search more on mesothelioma and our green daily life customs.  I found an article of Ecostreet alerting about fossil fuel refineries that harboring hidden particels of asbestos. (more…)

Fly with biofuel-powered plane

Biofuel business gets new supporters from air plane industry. More planes will fly using biofuel. A UK airline, Thomson Airways plans to use biofuel  made from cooking oil on a trial flight to Spain.

As sustainable biofuels become more commercially viable, Thomson Airways plans to expand its use of sustainable biofuels across its fleet over the next three years.

Thomson Airways is owned by Thomson’s parent company Tui Travel, the German tour operating giant that owns the Thomson and First Choice brands plus many others.  The airline already operates one of the highest load factors in the UK industry and therefore makes the most efficient use of its fleet and of the airport slots made available to it.

Top 10 carbon emitting countries

We’re living on the same earth, single atmosphere –but all of us don’t receive the same natural resources and experiencing different path and speed of economic development. Some countries now become the richest who developed one and other become the poor, or call them developing countries.

Developed countries emitted higher carbon dioxide,  an important substance that heating up our climate. Let see which countries that have  emitted huge carbon in the past;they contributed to current global warming phenomenon. All carbon emission data from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. However, data excludes emissions from land use and agriculture (including deforestation)
