Here the recent list of best business countries for 2012.  The list was made by World Bank Group providing nicely information for businessman or companies to search new country or expanding its business.

Word Bank calls the measure to rank best countries for business as doing business index. It’s shows how a country in serving for business entity in relation with taxes, business regulations, property, credits, investors relation, cross-border trading and else.

In relation with starting business topics, the report indicates some best practice such putting procedure online, having a one-stop shop and having no minimum requirement.

Mesothelioma has attracted researchers and environmental activists. Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that has been linked by environmental exposures especially asbestos.  Study says, people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos materials. People who have been contacted to dust and fiber related to asbestos also linked to mesothelioma.

Then I try to search more on mesothelioma and our green daily life customs.  I found an article of Ecostreet alerting about fossil fuel refineries that harboring hidden particels of asbestos. (more…)

Global crisis, islamic finance and life insurance

At the opening of World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Jakarta weeks ago, almost every speaker talked about the excesses of irresponsible financial market for triggering the global crisis. My highlight of global crisis was about smallholders farmers of palm oil suffered from decreasing commodity prices.  Another highlight shows how some vulnerable groups of people are facing the risk of global crisis.

The forum was touted Islamic finance as a framework for a more stable global financial system.  What are the differences with conventional, traditional or western financial system?  And what is the relation with life insurance?
