A team consisting environmental experts from two America-based universities –Yale and Columbia University –measures 149 countries using 25 indicators tracked across six environmental policy categories. The result is: Europe countries lead the way on the top of list! Forbes calls the countries placed in the top list as the world’s cleanest countries.
The list shows that countries with better wealth have better ranks of environmental performance as well. The list shows that top-ranked countries have managed water and air pollution and environmental infrastructure in proper way. They also have adopted policy measures to mitigate the pollution effect.
In contrary, some countries placed in the bottom are countries with conflicts, corruption and poor budget for environmental infrastructure. Environmental public health seems to be neglected by the regime.

How France is higher than the UK and Germany I will never know. It’s a sh*t hole and I would argue Germany is the cleanest in Europe by far. This doesn’t seem to take into account the size of country.
How come Australia’s not in this ranking??? I’ve been to France just two months ago and I’m appalled by what I saw. The subway stinks of urine, and I even saw sh*t on the sidewalk while we were walking around Paris!

It’s interesting that the US isn’t on the list, but also not surprising. They don’t have a lot of concern for the rest of the world, whereas most countries in Europe and Baltic States do.
